Nada Louise Bonin Landry

Nada Louise Landry, 92, of Lake Charles passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 in her residence.

Ms. Landry was born on May 17, 1932 in Lake Charles where she spent the second half of her life after moving around as a child and raising her family in Sulphur. A lifelong seamstress, Ms. Landry dedicated her talents to her community. She worked for years at Dolby Elementary School, making chairbacks, and spent many years designing beautiful costumes for Mardi Gras celebrations. She also generously volunteered her time creating costumes for the ACTS Theater.

Her legacy of craftsmanship is carried on through the heirlooms she created for her family-Afghans and quilts, each with a personalized message that will be treasured for generations to come.

A devout member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, Ms. Landry spent decades serving the Separated and Divorced Catholic group and was a dedicated Catholic Daughter for 16 years.

Ms. Landry will be remembered as a strong, independent woman, whose faith was never wavering.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Nathleen Landry Davies (Doug), Jean Landry Finch (Robert), and Richard Landry, Jr. (Tanya); nine grandchildren, Stephen Huddle (Tonya), John Huddle (Kristen), Mike Klumpp (Tracy), Robert Finch (Kandace), Tamara Finch (Khaled), Steven Finch, Jeremy Broussard, Stephanie Landry Guerrero (Noe), and Dustyn Smith; seven great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Hill Bonin, Sr. and Rena Marie Broussard Bonin; two daughters, Dianna Marie Landry Huddle and Rhonda Lynn Landry Broussard; two brothers, Louis Hill Bonin, Jr. and Glenn Edward Bonin; and the father of her children, Richard Gerald Landry, Sr.

A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 24, 2025 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven. Father Joshua Page will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Garden Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until leaving for the church at 12:30 PM with a rosary and some words of comfort to take place at 11:00 AM.

The family wishes to extend their appreciation to Ms. Landry's caregivers, Stephanie and Neo Guerrero and Jeremy and Brandi Broussard, for their exceptional care and compassion.
