Nancy J. Karriker

Nancy J. Karriker, 78, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2022 in a local hospital.

She was born on August 30, 1943 in Paris, Texas to Guy and Jenniebel Grimes White.

Nancy enjoyed decorating and was Chairman of the Decorating Committee at East Ridge Baptist Church. She was also a talented singer and active in the church choir. She loved animals, particularly hummingbirds, and gardening.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 21 years, Kermit Karriker; son, James Kilgore; stepchildren, Dr. Bryan Karriker (Dr. Deborah Decker) and Galen Karriker (Kendra); grandchildren, Claire, Camille, Anna, Graeson, and Korrinne; brother, Mike White (Pattie); and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, Josef Provonka; and her parents.

Her funeral service will be held at East Ridge Baptist Church under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 18, 2022. Rev. Alan Weishampel will officiate. Interment will take place at a later date. Visitation will be held at the church Thursday from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. and will continue Friday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made in her name to the Decorating Committee at East Ridge Baptist Church.
