Nancy K. Morris

Nancy Keefe Parra Morris was born in Beaumont, Texas on April 27, 1934, to the union of Lloyd J. and Blanche Withers Keefe. She passed away on October 11, 2012 in a local hospital.

Nancy moved to Lake Charles at the age of 7, and attended Fourth Ward School, Central School, Lake Charles High School, and graduated from McNeese State University. She worked briefly as a legal secretary and court reporter. She was a member of the Junior League of Lake Charles, and was a past president of the McNeese State University Alumni Association. She was a member of University United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by husbands Leland Parra and Dr. Robert K. Morris.

She is survived by a sister, Mary Elizabeth (Ben) Grahmann of Spring Branch, Texas; stepsons Dr. Robert K. (Candy) Morris, Jr. of Houston, and James R. (Ramona) Morris of Lake Charles, and daughter-in-law Jackie Morris Royer. She is also survived by grandchildren Jennifer Morris McPheeters, Jamie Morris Monceaux, Robert K. Morris, III, David W. Morris, and Erin E. Morris; and eight great grandchildren and a niece and two nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 13, 2012, at University United Methodist Church, with visitation in the fellowship hall following the memorial.
