Nancy Louise Kemmerly

Nancy Louise Kemmerly, 78, of Lake Charles, LA died at 12:38 AM on Saturday, October 12, 2013 in a Lake Charles care facility. Ms. Kemmerly was born on March 16, 1935 in Honea Path, SC and moved to Lake Charles, LA in 1965. In 1989 she returned to South Carolina until returning to Lake Charles in April of this month. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Lexington, SC and also belonged to the Red Hat Society in Lexington. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Dianne Dukes Sparrow and husband Steven of Lexington, SC; her son, Marshall Dukes and wife Cindy of Moss Bluff, LA; siblings, Elbert Davis of Belton, SC, Barbara Summers and husband Forrest of Williamson, SC, Peggy Lou Hyland and husband Dutie of Dayton, OH, Woodrow Davis and wife Peggy of Belton, SC, and Gloria Moon and husband Terry of Belton, SC; two grandchildren, Lova Moreno and husband Jared of Lake Charles, LA and Shaun Dukes and wife Katie of Moss Bluff, LA; and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mae and Sammie Davis. Funeral services and burial will be held in Belton, SC. Local arrangements were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
