Naomi Helms Poe

Naomi Helms Poe, 93, went to be with the Lord on Thursday July 7, 2016.

Naomi was a faithful member of The First Baptist Church of Gillis.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Lee Poe; 2 daughters, Linda Carolyn Micelle and Cathy Deborah Mears; parents, James Frank and Luetta Helms; 2 sisters, Myrthe Elmore and Jessie Mae Hargette; 2 brothers, Clyde and Wilson Helms.

Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memories are her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Alfred Fortier of New Iberia, LA; daughter, Diane Hargette of Monroe, NC and son and daughter-in-law, Willard and Lois Poe, Jr. of Denham Springs, LA.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3PM Sunday July 10, 2016 at Johnson Funeral Home, in Lake Charles, LA with Pastor Glenn George officiating.

Visitation with the family will be on Sunday from 1:30PM till time of service. Interment to follow at Consolata Cemetery.
