Funeral services for Nedra McCauley, 87, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, will be at 1:00pm on Monday, January 14, 2013. Visitation will begin at 11:30am on Monday morning at Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur, Louisiana. Burial will follow at Mimosa-Pines Cemetery in Carlyss, Louisiana. Nedra, affectionately known to family and friends as Nana, was born on February 7, 1925 in Mertens, Texas to Bryan and Audree Lou (Allen) McCallum. She attended a business school in Dallas and married Charles Ray McCauley on December 31, 1944. She and her husband were partners in the funeral home business in Munday, Haskell, and Rule, Texas for many years. As a wife, mother, and friend she was well known for her love of people, her sense of style, her talent for decorating, and her enjoyment of cooking and baking. In 2001 Nana moved to Sulphur, Louisiana and continued to work with her daughter, Melisa, at Robison Funeral Home as a hostess and greeter. She spent the last years of her life as a resident of Villa Maria Retirement Center in Lake Charles, Louisiana where she had many close friends. Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Marilu and Craig Farnham of Lebanon, Kentucky and Melisa and Mark Farr of Carlyss, Louisiana; four grandchildren, Tyler Farnham of Cincinnati, Ohio, Abby Farnham of Chicago, Illinios, Macy Robison of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and McCauley (Mac) Robison of Carlyss, Louisiana; sister-in-law, Jimmie McCallum and two nieces, Nedra Schulhoff, and Jan Condren all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Charles R. McCauley, mother, Audree McCallum, father, Bryan McCallum, and brother, J. Bryan (Skeet) McCallum.
