Nell was a member of Parkview Baptist Church. She was a great Spiritual role model to her family and others. Her gentle nature and Christian Spirit was her most precious gift from God and a blessing to her husband, children and all whose lives she touched. She lived her life so that someday she could be with our Lord and Savior and today she is celebrating her Heavenly Homecoming. Nell enjoyed reading her Bible, sewing, refinishing furniture and crocheting. She loved working beside her husband as she assisted him in building mandolins. Her finishing touch of varnish and polish gave each instrument a loving glow. Nell enjoyed singing and playing the mandolin with family and friends. Her beautiful voice and huge pot of Gumbo became a favorite to musicians across the country who often gathered in their home to play Bluegrass Gospel jam sessions.
