Neva Lane Hoffpauir

Neva Lane Hoffpauir, 86, of Lake Charles passed away peacefully July 5, 2017 at a local care facility.

Neva was a native and life-long resident of Lake Charles. She retired from J.C. Penney in Lake Charles as a sales associate after many years of loyal service. She was a member of Bible Missionary Church in Sulphur, where she served was the past Missionary President.

Preceding Neva in death are her parents, Clinton G. and Jessie Faulk Hoffpauir; sisters, Kathleen Pennick and Audrey Triplett; a brother, C.G. Hoffpauir and nephews, Tom Hoffpauir, Gary Hoffpauir and Wade Hoffpauir. Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her brothers, Norman Elmer Hoffpauir, DeRidder and Rev. Haywood Hoffpauir and wife Helen, Sulphur; brother in law, Glenn Pennick, Lake Charles; sister-in-law, Pat Hoffpauir, Lake Charles as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Sunday, July 9, 2017 at the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Haywood Hoffpauir officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Saturday July 8 and will continue from 12:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral Home. Graveside interment services will be at 4:00 PM on Sunday July 9 at Ebenezer Cemetery near Crowley.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the nurses and staff of Resthaven Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center and Brighton Bridge Hospice and Dr. Ben Thompson for the kind, compassionate care extended to the family in Neva Lane’s illness.
