Nicholas Carroll Broussard

Nicholas Carroll Broussard, 88, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 in his daughter’s home holding his son and daughter’s hand. Mr. Broussard was born on June 27, 1932 in Big Lake, La to Charles and Edith Faulk Broussard and has lived in Lake Charles for 60 years.

Nicholas worked at Lake Charles American Press for 40 years where he was a member of their bowling league.  He loved being with his family, working in the yard, Steel Guitar and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.

Left to cherish his memory are children, James Dale Broussard of Houston, Tx, Ricky Blane Broussard & wife Melissa of Lake Charles, La, Carroll Todd Broussard & wife Tanya of Sweetlake, La and Gina Marie Bobo & husband James of Lake Charles, La; grandchildren, Jill Young (John), Jessica Broussard, Evins Broussard, Austin Broussard, Mitchell Broussard (Alexandra), Michael Broussard, Kristen Bobo Mitchell (Tyler), Garret Bobo and Laken Bobo; great grandchildren, Ava Young, Austin Young, Cerys Broussard, Mason Mitchell and Max Mitchell; brother, Wayne Broussard & wife Charlotte and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 55 years, Gloria Broussard; brothers, C.J. Broussard and Arnold Broussard.

Funeral services will be held at St. Martin de Porres on Monday, October 26, 2020 at 12:30pm with Msgr. Jace Eskind officiating.  Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.  Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff on Sunday, October 25, 2020 from 5:00pm until 8:00pm with a rosary being recited at 6:00pm.  Visitation will resume on Monday from 9:30am until 11:30am at the funeral home.
