Niese Louise Cooley, 81, passed away on August 21, 2016 at a local hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Niese Cooley was a lifelong member of the Apostolic Pentecostal faith. She served the Body of Christ as a Ladies Auxilliary leader, at Youth Sunday School, and as a Youth Director for many years. The influence she had upon the lives of the youth will be revealed in the Great Reckoning Day.
Niece Cooley was a lover of family. She cherished the time when the family gathered at her house or at the camp on Bundick’s Lake. The heart of the family is heavy today, but our spirit is rejoicing. She has won the battle and now is at rest. We shall see you on that “Great getting up morning.”
Mrs. Cooley is survived by her husband, Robbie Cooley; daughter, Deborah A. Burgin (Floyd); son, Rev. Glenn D. Cooley (Julia); sisters, Nelva Abrusley of Oakdale, Charity Ford of Dry Creek, and Neoma Rowell of Little Rock, AK; and her best friend Ester Marcantel. Mrs. Cooley also leaves eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren to cherish her memory. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leander and Louise Hamilton.
Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 26, 2016 at New Life Pentecostal Church in Ragley, LA. Rev. Glenn Cooley, Rev. Eldon Reeves, and Rev. Rodney Bankens will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Dry Creek Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on Thursday, August 26th until 9:00 PM. Visitation will resume at 9:00 AM on Friday until the start of the service.
