Nina Lee Arnett

October 5, 1941 — January 12, 2024

Nina Lee Arnett, 82 of Sulphur passed away peacefully in her residence on January 12, 2024. She was born on October 5, 1941, to Leon Bruce and Bessie Guillotte.
Nina was very much loved by all members of her family, friends and those she went to church with. She loved working in her flower garden, making sure it was maintained and nurtured so that all could enjoy its beauty. Nina was a very giving person and helped everybody that needed a little help along the way. She enjoyed vacationing and exploring new places, but when she wasn’t on a vacation, she loved to watch TV programs about National Parks, while anticipating her next vacation destination. She enjoyed good old western movies, loved to read books, and talk on the phone with Ms. Gail. She loved to go on walks with her friends, she was always up for a great dinner out with her friends. She enjoyed going garage selling with her friends and finding great deals and some treassures along the way. Nina was the heart and backbone of the family. She will be greatly missed by all who had the honor to know and love her.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sister, Ramona Guidry; her best friend, Gail Darbonne; her daughter and son-in-law Ginger and Daryl Mathews; her grandchildren, Krista, Kayla, Kimberly and her husband Joe Simon, and Jonathan; her great grandkids, Kade, Kali, Kyle, Draven, Charlie, Taylor, and Trevor; and her great great grandchild, Kyler.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Baxter Arnett; her son, Bruce Arnett; her brother, Jimmy Guillotte, Johnny Guillotte, and Jackie Guillotte; her parents, Leon Bruce and Bessie Guillotte.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Heart of Hospice and Johnson and Robison Funeral Home and Sulphur Church of Christ for taking care of Nina.
Funeral services will be at 11 AM, Saturday, January 27, 2024, at South Sulphur Church of Christ. A gathering of family and friends will begin after the service until 4 PM.
