Nolan Lemalle, 70, was called home by his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, October 20, 2015. Born and raised in Ville Platte, Louisiana to Murphy and Claro Mae Semien Lemalle. Mr. Lemalle was a 1965 graduate of James Stephen High School and attended McNeese State University. He was the manager of Sel-Mart Department Store for twenty-three years, Montgomery Ward for eight years, and was a car salesman for Mark Dodge for eleven years, retiring in 2013. Mr. Lemalle was a faithful member of Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church in Lake Charles. He was a family man and worked hard to take care of his family, yet always finding time to serve and help others. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of thirty-two years, Cathy White Lemalle; two sons, Nolan A. Lemalle and wife Zellie of Lake Charles and Tim Lemalle and wife Gigi of Spring, Texas; one stepson, David Rosenbaum and wife Deanne, also of Lake Charles; three brothers, Lionel Lemalle and Yolan Lemalle of Ville Platte and Darius Lemalle of Lake Charles; four sisters, Claro Finley of Frierson, Louisiana, Mary Williams of Pineville, Patricia Hunter of Slidell, and Clareka Larnette of Ville Platte; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Bridget Lemalle. A celebration of Mr. Lemalle's life will be held at 7:00 PM on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at Cathedral of Faith Baptist Church in Lake Charles under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Arthur Cullivan will officiate. Visitation will be on Saturday at the funeral home from 2:00PM until 4:00PM and on Sunday from 5:00 PM until 7:00 at the church. The family would like to express their grateful appreciation for the compassionate care given their beloved Nolan to the staff of Synergy Home Health Care, Harbor Hospice and Johnson Funeral Home.
