Norma Jean Champagne

Norma Jean Champagne, 73, of Lake Charles passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2013 in a local health care facility.

Mrs. Champagne was born in Fenton, LA, but was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. Her greatest joy was her family as she devoted her life and love to her husband, child and granddaughter. She was of Baptist faith.

She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Lon Dale Champagne and wife Stephanie; one granddaughter, Charlotte Champagne, all of Montreal, Canada, and one sister Francis Cormier of Lake Charles.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward E. Champagne; parents, Linus and Mernice Cormier; and one brother Joe Cormier.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Tuesday, March 5, 2013 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Andrew Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be on Monday, March 4 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the funeral home and will continue on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
