Norris Gabriel Schexnider, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Norris Schexnider, Sr., 85, of Hackberry, will be held on Friday, September 17, 2010 at 11am in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church. Father Gerry Boulanger will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Peters Catholic Church Cemetery in Hackberry under the direction of Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Thursday, September 16th from 4pm " 9pm with a Rosary at 7pm, and resume on Friday, September 17th from 8am " until time of procession to the church. Mr. Schexnider passed away on Wednesday, September 14, 2010 in Ragley surrounded by his loving family. Norris Gabriel Schexnider, Sr. was born in Abbeville, Louisiana and was a longtime resident of Hackberry and currently lived in Hockley, Texas. He worked out of IBEW Local 861 for many years until retiring in 1987. He was a member of St. Matthias Catholic Church in Magnolia, Texas and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Schexnider is survived by his Daughter: Brenda Hantz & husband Clifford, Ragley; 2 Sons: Michael Schexnider & wife Brenda, Tomball, Tx; Gabe Schexnider & wife Pam, Magnolia, Tx; Brother: Alton Schexnider & wife Joyce, Sulphur; Sister: Mabel David, Abbeville; 9 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Lillian Schexnider and Daughter Lynn Trahan.
