Nova Harper Hayes

Nova Harpor Hayes, 4 month old infant son of Darrell Hayes and Sara Lindsey of Lake Charles passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Children's Hospital of New Orleans. Those left to cherish his memory are his parents; four siblings, Gabriel, Karalan, and Vega Hayes and Jacob Guillory all of Lake Charles; maternal grandparents, Dagmar and Ben Lindsey of Lake Charles; paternal grandparents, Dorie and David Hayes of Lake Charles; maternal great grandmother, Elaine Stewart of Kingwood, TX; paternal great grandparents, Gladys McFarland of Lake Charles and Malcolm and Edna Hayes of Delaware; his Godfather, Michael Stirling of Lake Charles; Godmother, Lillie Sonnier of Lake Charles; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by a brother, Tristian Hayes; paternal great grandmother, Doris Estelle "Ooga Grandmaw" Shafer. "The sky now has a new star, and Heaven has a new angel." Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Fr. Alan Trouille will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM until the start of the service with a rosary being recited at 1:30 PM.
