Oddell Griffin

Oddell Griffin, 86, of Lake Charles passed away at 10:50 PM on Wednesday, November 29th, 2011.

Mrs. Griffin was born on October 9th, 1925 in Merryville, LA and lived the majority of her life in Lake Charles, LA. She was a graduate of Merryville High School. She was a faithful member of the Boulevard Church of Christ.

More than anything, she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

Those left to cherish Mrs. Griffin's memory are her three children: Terri Edwards and husband Bill, Jackie Decareaux and husband Don, all of Lake Charles, and son Steve Griffin and wife Margaret who reside in Maplewood. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Billy Edwards Jr. and wife Tammy of Lake Charles, Jason Edwards, Adam Edwards and wife Nancy, Kristina Edwards, Daniel Decareaux, Callie Decareaux, and Shannon Griffin. In addition she has six great grandchildren: Taylor, William Reed Madison, Nora Belle, Adam Truitt, and Lylah Edwards.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00am on Friday, December 2, 2011 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Brother Paul Franks will officiate. Burial will be in Meadows Cemetery near Merryville, LA immediately after the funeral service. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue Friday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
