Odis Joseph Fontenot

Odis Joseph Fontenot,  84, of Sulphur passed away on September 19, 2018. He worked  in the oil field and petrochemical industry until retirement. Odis enjoyed fishing, crabbing, Cajun music and dancing with his wife.

Odis is survived by his four children, Carol Thompson and husband Michael of Groesbeck, TX, Joseph “Craig” Fontenot and wife Dianne of Edgerly, LA,  Lisa Domingue and husband Derrek of Carlyss, LA and Bryan Fontenot and significant other  Pauline Labat of Carlyss; 10 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and  sister, Bertrella Young of New Iberia, LA. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, June Rae Fontenot; parents, Theogian and Ida Fontenot; 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at 10 A.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Father Paul Jussen, M.S.  officiating. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Sulphur under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 4- 9 P.M. with a rosary at 6 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with visitation continuing on Saturday, September 22 at 8 A.M. until time of the service.
