Olevia Gradney Bradley, "Chook", slept peacefully into the arms of her loving Father on the evening of October 18, 2015. She was born August 3, 1929, in Bell City, Louisiana, to the late Phlogen and Theresa Simien Gradney. "Chook" as she was known to family and friends lived in the Mossville Community for many years. She was married to the late Rutherford Bradley for 26 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, aunt, and grandmother. She was baptized at a young age and was a member of St. John Bosco Catholic Church. She was a member of the Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxillary. Olevia was preceded in death by her husband, Rutherford Bradley; one son, Larry Dellafosse; her parents, Phlogen and Theresa Gradney, four brothers; Henry Gradney, Murphy Gradney, Edward Gradney, and Lewis Gradney. Four sisters; Lorenia Victorian, Lovenia McCraney, Mary Paterson, and Margaret Prater. She leaves to cherish her memory; two sons, Douglas Dellafosse, Alexandria, Louisiana, Horace (Thelma) Dellafosse, Houston, Texas. Four daughters, Tina (Rev. Michael) Honore, Sulphur, Louisiana, Martha (Rev. Joseph) Jourdan, Sulphur, Louisiana. Carla (Barnabas) Antoine, Moss Bluff, Louisiana and Monica (Larry) Patrick of Albany, New York. Two sisters, Theresa (James) Jones and Rita Hebert of Lake Charles, Louisiana; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and a host of many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Her funeral services will be Saturday, October 24, 2015, at 11:00 am at St. John Bosco Catholic Church in Westlake, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 9:00-11:00 am at the church. Burial will follow at Combre Memorial Park under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
