Olite Guidry Boullion

Olite Guidry Boullion, 96, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 11:18 AM on Friday, January 5, 2018 in a St. Francisville care center.

Mrs. Boullion was born April 28, 1921 in Lake Arthur, LA, and lived most of her life in the Sweetlake area before moving to Covington, LA eight years ago. She was a founding member of South City Christian Church, where she was active in the choir. She worked as a homemaker most of her life. She will be remembered for her wonderful art work, as she was very talented. She also enjoyed listening to gospel music.

She is survived by her children, Don Boullion of Bedias, TX, Ray Allen Boullion and wife Laura of Port Neches, TX, and Annette O’Quinn of Covington, LA; brother, Lee Guidry of Highland, TX; sisters-in-law, Jane Guidry of Lake Charles and Lois Guidry of Pueblo, CO; grandchildren, Donald Ray Boullion, Christopher Boullion, Roxanne Pointer, Shannon O’Quinn, Robert Boullion, Stephen Boullion, Jonathon Boullion, Adrienne Boullion; eighteen great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Abbie J. Boullion; parents, Walter and Edna Guidry; daughter-in-law, Annie Boullion; son-in-law, Don O’Quinn; siblings, Lester Guidry, Albert Guidry and wife Lena, Howard Guidry, Percy Guidry, and Gladys Choate; sister-in-law, Florence Guidry; and grandchild, Terry Boullion.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Robby Bacon will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the start of the service.
