Omie Lou Watkins

November 27, 1930 — April 1, 2012

Omie Lou Watkins, 81 of Sulphur passed away on April 1, 2012 in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. David Holder officiating. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 2, 2012 from 4-8 p.m. at Robison Funeral Home and will resume on Tuesday at 8 a.m. until time of service. Omie was a native and lifelong resident of Sulphur. She was a cheerleader for Sulphur High School. After high school she went to work for Sulphur Mines. In 1952 she started working for Cit-Con and retired from Cities Service Refinery in 1985. Omie was an avid bridge player and a member of First Baptist Church in Sulphur. Omie is survived by her two brothers, Frank Crouch and wife, Carol Beth of Sulphur; and Kenneth Crouch of Missouri City, TX; sister-in-law, Betty Crouch of Carlyss and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Watkins; parents, Ernest Doc and Jennie Scooter Crouch Sr.; sister, Willa Vee Beyeaux and brother, Ernest Crouch Jr.
