Oris "Rick" Cornnor

August 28, 1939 — March 29, 2022

On Tuesday March 29, 2022 Oris “Rick” Cornnor went to his heavenly home to be with the Lord. He was born on August 28, 1939 in Abbeville, La. A genuine hardworking man who’s sense of humor and smile was infectious to anyone who knew him. He was a natural born salesman who never met a stranger and loved his family wholeheartedly. He was a devoted member of Central Assembly Church in Haughton, La. He enjoyed attending auctions, vacations, church, and spending time with his family. His life was a blessing, and his memories will forever be cherished. A loss that is unmeasurable but nothing in comparison to the love and legacy he leaves behind. He would ask us not to cry for him because he is not really gone, but to rejoice and celebrate that his soul is home and at peace. His passing is preceded by his mother Roberta Cornnor, brothers Percy Meaux and Maurice Meaux, sisters Anna Mae Meaux and Dorthy Landry, and daughter Selina Cornnor. He is survived by wife Shirley Cornnor, daughters Ramanda Cornnor, Kathleen Parent, and Valerie Cornnor, sons Randall Cornnor Sr. (April), Rick Cornnor (Jovie), and Cecil Stimac (Cindy), 16 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on April 2, 2022 at 11:00 am at Johnson Funeral Home in Moss Bluff with burial following at Consolata cemetery in Lake Charles. Visitation will begin on April 1, 2022 from 2:00 until 9:00 pm as well as April 2, 2022 starting at 9:00 am. If you would like to share memories, please join our family from 5:00 until 9:00 pm on Friday. We will think about you always and hold you close in our hearts. Walk and guide us in our lives until we meet again. We love you!
