Ouida Hodges, 86, of Moss Bluff went to meet the Lord Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at a local hospital with her loving family at her side. She was a native of Laurel, Mississippi and a long time resident of Moss Bluff and Lake Charles. Ouida retired as personnel supervisor at Citgo and, most importantly, was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was a faithful member of The Apostolic Temple Pentecostal Church. Ouida was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Franklin and Gladys Brooks Donald. She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Roy Hodges, Moss Bluff; daughters, Sherry Griffin, Lake Charles and Marcia Bankens, Moss Bluff; son, Thomas R. Hodges and wife Jo Ann, San Antonio, Texas; sister, Willodene Atkinson and husband Gordon, Abilene, Texas; brother, James T. Donald and wife Audra, Corsicana, Texas; eleven grandchildren, Julie Griffin Richard and husband Jared, Courtney Griffin Robertson and husband Melan, Vesta Griffin, Leslie Griifin, Jeff Bankens and wife, Sarah, Melanie Bankens Huddleston and husband Chuck, Johnnie Bankens, Jared Bankens, Clint Hodges, Troy Hodges, and Tommy Hodges; and eight great-grandchildren, Lindsay Savant, Kassidy Richard, Keagan Richard, Sophie Richard, Jillian Richard, Graham Robertson, Landon Griffin and Isaac Bankens; and a host of friends and extended family. Visitation will be at The Apostolic Temple, 2711 West Prien Lake Rd., Lake Charles, LA 70605, on Thursday, June 19, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday from 9:00 AM until time of the funeral service, 11:00 AM. The Rev. Ricky Treece will officiate. Burial will follow funeral services at Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley, with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
