Ova Maedean Myers

Ova Maedean Dennis Myers, 71, of Sulphur, LA died on Monday, January 23, 2012 in a local care facility.

Ms. Myers was a longstanding member of Oak Street Baptist Church in Cushing, OK and will always be remembered as the most loving woman any of us ever knew.

Ms. Myers is survived by her sons, David Earl Myers, III and wife Cindy, Kirt Allen Myers and wife Doni, and Michael Jay Myers and wife Nikkie; grandchildren, Amanda Myers, Shannan Touchet, Amber Myers, Ryan Myers, Derick Myers, and Erica Myers; great-grandchildren, David, Caden, Avery, Katriona, Ryan II, Adriel, Tricia, Elijah, Joshua, and expecting Emma; seven brothers; one sister; and many more loving family members.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Claude Eugene Dennis; parents, Ova Yates and Harry Dennis; and an older brother at infancy.

Her memorial service will be at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, January 24, 2012 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Robin Norris will officiate. A gathering of friends will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

The family would like to give a special word of thanks to Odyssey Hospice, especially Julie Jones, and her many other caregivers.
