Pamela Cecile Dourseau

Pamela Cecile Dourseau, 70, departed from this life Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at 10pm at her residence.

Pamela was born October 03, 1948 to the late Paul and Alberta Dourseau in Lake Charles, LA. She was the only child born to this union.

Pamela attended Sacred Heart Catholic School from kindergarten to twelfth grade where she graduated valedictorian. Following graduation, Pamela moved to New Orleans to attend Xavier University on a National Merit Scholarship.

Pamela’s professional career began on the East Coast in Absecon, New Jersey as an Air Traffic Controller for many years. In 1996, Pamela returned to Lake Charles due to her mother’s illness. While home, Pamela worked as a professional chef at several restaurants. Though not actively participating in a particular church, Pamela professed her faith in Jesus Christ.

Pamela is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Alberta Dourseau.

Pamela possessed a strong love for cooking, gardening (promoting healthy living) as well as caring daily for her cats (Grey Baby, Woogie, Diney, and Susie) who were each a beautiful extension of her heart. She was known as an avid fisherman and enjoyed being near the water any and every opportunity made available. Pamela was a faithful, funny, loyal and dedicated friend to all who knew her and those she met along the journey and blessed to have been in her presence.

Pamela's funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Christ Worship Center under the direction of Pastor Anthony Chapman.
