Pamela Ducote Smith, 67, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021 surrounded by her loving family.
She was a life-long Sulphur resident and a 1972 graduate of Sulphur High. Pam was the owner and operator of Mrs. Pam’s Playschool for 35 years. She loved all children whom she cared for during her years of childcare. Pam enjoyed flea markets, antiques, and cooking. She especially loved weekends at Toledo Bend and spending time with family and friends.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 48 years, Howard Dwain Smith, Sr.; son, Bo Smith and wife, Rosa of Sulphur; daughter, Aunie Whatley and husband Wally of Sulphur; four grandchildren, Mason Wayne Whatley, Gabriel Blaze Smith; Elizabeth Ann Smith and Brennan James Smith. She will also be greatly missed by her brother, Rodney Ducote, Jr. and his wife, Peggy; two sisters, Elise LeBoeuf and her husband, Buckie, and Denise Derouen and her husband Tommy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pam was preceded in death by her parents, Rodney Ducote, Sr., and Georgie Ducote; and three sisters, Flora Faye Weldon, Janelle Ducote, and Gwendolyn Marie Fontenot.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am, Monday, May 3, 2021 in Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church. Father Andrews Kollannoor, M.S. will officiate. Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery North. Visitation will be held in Johnson and Robison Funeral Home Sunday, May 2nd, 3 pm – 8 pm, with a recitation of the Rosary at 4:30 pm and a Cursillo Rosary at 6:30pm. Visitation will resume at the funeral home from 8:30 am – 10 am on Monday.
