Pamela T. Harris

Pamela Marie Thibodeaux Harris, 67, of Lake Charles, LA, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022 in her residence.

Mrs. Harris was born June 27, 1954 in Lafayette, LA, but lived most of her life in Lake Charles.  She was a 1972 graduate of Marion High School, where she made many memories as a cheerleader.  She also graduated from McNeese State University in 1980 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  Mrs. Harris spent over thirty years in early childhood education, twenty of those years as a first-grade teacher at Sacred Heart Catholic School.  She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church.  During her spare time, she enjoyed sewing, reading, working crossword puzzles and shopping, especially for shoes, but her true passion was for spending time with her sons, grandchildren, nieces and her girlfriends.

Mrs. Harris is survived by her four sons, Ivory Harris II and wife Dianne, Todd Joseph Harris and wife Krystle, Brian Matthew Harris, and Braylon Jamar Harris; grandchildren, Kaylie, Nyla, Trey, Daven, Ti’ona, Ethan, Heath, and Kadence; uncle, Joseph Chachere’; and numerous other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivory Harris; an infant son; parents, Rodney Thibodeaux and Lorena Chachere’ Coleman; siblings, Rodney Thibodeaux, Jr., Ronald Thibodeaux, Louis Alfred Dudley, III, and Loretta King; and grandparents, who she was very close to, Edolia and Morris Chachere’.

Her memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 11, 2022 at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff.  Deacon Elray Bushnell will officiate.  For the safety of attendees, we request that masks be worn.
