Patricia Ann Jones Hypolite

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Patricia Ann (Jones) Hypolite was born on August 5, 1950 to the late Willery and Viola Morris Jones. She was the eldest of six children. “Pat” as she loved to be called, grew up in the Mossville, LA area. In 1964 she graduated and moved to Lake Charle, LA, where she was employed at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for 34 years.

She later met and married the love of her life, Mr. Sam Hypolite, and they were married 45 years until his passing in 2014. To this union there were two sons, MeJel Joseph, and Rah Deen. After retirement Pat loved to decorate, read and shop. She loved to spend her time caring for her grandchildren. She enjoyed music, being outdoors and loving her pets. Her love for her grandchildren and great-grandchild was immeasurable.

She departed this life on Saturday, September 14, 2019. She knew the Lord had finally come to take her home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willery and Viola Jones, two brothers, Anthony and Willery Jr, and her husband, Sam.

She leaves to mourn her sons, MeJel (Tom), Dallas, TX; Rah Deen, Lake Charles, LA; three grandchildren RahLeesha, Samantha, and Rah Deen Jr.; one great-grandchild Baby Xavier; god-child Jer’Lisa Miles of Houston, TX; one sister Brenda (Jack) Miles of Houston, TX; two brothers, Odies (Niddy)Jones, DeQuincy, LA; Tim (Saberia) Jones, Sulphur, LA & a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.  Her memories will be cherished by all who knew her!

Her funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday September 21, 2019 at Union Mission Baptist Church located at 3425 5^th Avenue in Lake Charles, LA.  There will be a gathering of family and friends beginning at 10:30 AM until the time of the service.
