Patricia Ann Leblanc

Patricia Ann LeBlanc “T-taunte” (petit aunt in Cajun French), succumbed to the isolation of the pandemic on the beautiful morning of July 19, 2021. Patricia leaves no possessions behind because giving was her love language. Her dream was to have a safe place of her own, and Patricia opened her home and life to serve others. 

Patricia will be missed by her incredibly inspiring, support group of three sisters, Cathy Kramer, Vicki Porter, and Peggy Silverman. Patricia has been reunited with Barbara Bonner, her baby sister who fought a heroic battle against cancer and was called home last week. Patricia will also be missed by the love of her life and soulmate, Ray Stine, a truly gentle soul. Never married but called to serve the Lord as a single person, our family is grateful for Patricia’s life-long, special friend, Ray Stine.

T-taunte leaves behind five nieces, four nephews, and thirteen great-nieces and great-nephews (and a great-great niece!). When life gave us imperfect fruits, T-taunte taught us how to make kitchen hooch. Reluctant to be wasteful T-taunte was compassionately mindful of taking care of her plants or healing unfortunate souls; that’s who she was. T-taunte embodied the most memorable and impressionable gestures of kindness. 

Born in Sulphur Patricia was the second of five fierce women, all of whom continue to blaze trails today. Patricia’s steadfastly devoted parents, Percy and Lynn LeBlanc initiated the Southwest Louisiana Chapter of NAMI in their own home and advocated understanding through parents’ love.

Patricia carried an unquenchable desire to heal others, feed the hungry, and T-taunte gave so much, not out of an abundance of money, but Patricia gave because that’s how she knew to serve and love. 

Patricia/T-taunte was everything during her lifetime: She was a Sulphur Tor, a medical assistant, a college student, a beautician, and a friend to everyone. She will be missed more deeply than these words can describe, but we are comforted in knowing that she is with the Lord. 

Visitation is scheduled for Friday, July 23 at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home 5pm – 7pm with a Rosary at 6pm. Mass is scheduled for 10:00 am on Saturday, July 24. All are welcome to attend Patricia’s Mass, and due to pandemic-induced funeral fatigue, the family kindly requests that all guest in attendance please wear a mask while indoors. Masks may be available upon entrance into Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church.  Father Edward Richard, M.S. will officiate services.
