Patricia Biggs Powell

Patricia Norma Biggs Powell, 69, passed way suddenly on Saturday, September 1, 2012 in Hazel Park, MI.

Mrs. Powell was born July 23, 1942 in Lake Charles, LA, where she lived all of her live until moving to Hazel Park, MI one year ago. She was a graduate of LaGrange High School and graduated from McNeese State University with her degree in nursing. She worked in the Emergency Room at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital for many of years and then did travel nursing with her first husband, until her retirement in 2006. She attended St. Margaret Catholic Church.

Mrs. Powell is survived by her second husband, Victory Powell of Hazel Park, MI; son, Randall Biggs and wife Deanne of Lake Charles; daughter, Rhonda Spell of San Antonio, TX; sister, Delores Comeaux; brothers, Larry LeJeune, Dwayne LeJeune and Keith LeJeune, all of Lake Charles; and three grandchildren, Claire Biggs, Kwynn Biggs, and Ariana Mendoza.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hazel and L.P. LeJeune and her first husband, Ronald Biggs.

Her memorial service was held in Hazel Park, MI on Thursday, September 6, 2012. A memorial service in Lake Charles will be at a later date.
