Patricia Darlene Beidler Lee

Patricia Darlene Beidler Lee, 68, of Lake Charles, LA died on Sunday, November 20, 2011 in a local care facility.


Ms. Lee was born May 2, 1943 in Lake Charles, LA. She was a 1962 graduate of LaGrange High School, a 1966 graduate of USL in Lafayette, where she received her Bachelor's degree in Nursing. She also received her Master's in Nursing in 1982 from Louisiana State University Medical School. Ms. Lee worked for Dr. Michael DeBakey in the late 60's as his scrub nurse at Methodist Hospital in Houston. She worked at McNeese State University from 1971 to 2005, where she taught nursing.


She was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority during college and a member of the Nursing Sorority at McNeese State University. Ms. Lee enjoyed quilting and was a member of the Calcasieu Parish Cut-Ups Quilt Group. She was also a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. She also enjoyed reading and traveling in her free time.


Ms. Lee is survived by her daughter, Tina Guidry and husband Travis of Lake Charles; sister, Cheryl Beidler Horst and husband Whitey of St. Francisville, LA; and three grandchildren, Alexandra Eve Lee, Tyler Guidry, and Kristen Leigh Doxey: God-child, Lesley Anne Horst: aunt, Betty Chehotsky of Lake Charles; and dear friends, Anetha Corky Craft, Deanna Pulver, and Rosemary Walker.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Aloysius and Dorothy Piboin Beidler.


Her funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Deacon George Carr will officiate. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:30 PM and continue on Tuesday from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM.
