Patricia Jean Barron

Patricia Jean Barron, 98, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024. She was born March 15, 1926, to parents Clyde and Onzell Motes Williams.

Patricia received her bachelor’s degree from Louisiana College. She was a teacher for over 10 years teaching English and Spanish. Patricia loved quilting, sewing, and reading. She was known for cooking cornbread dressing and for her baking skills. Patricia loved working in her flower gardens and watching Jeopardy. Patricia was a crossword whiz.

Those left to cherish her memory are, daughters; Janice Laird (David), Gail McClain (Hugh), and Lucy Maxwell (Bill), grandchildren; Sara Laird, Amy Laird, Katherine McClain (Jason), Amanda Bonfanti, Patrick McClain (Diana), Charles Maxwell and James Maxwell, great grandchildren; Sebastian Bonfanti, Cillian Bonfanti, Margaret McClain, John McClain and Rosemary McClain, sister; Sally Williams Primeaux.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Charles Barron, daughter; Leslie Barron, siblings; Betty Elston and James Williams.

Patricia’s funeral service will be April 23, 2024, at St Andrew Presbyterian Church at 2:00 p.m. with Nanette Cagney officiating the service. The visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. April 23, 2024. She will be buried at a later date at Big Creek Cemetery.
