Patricia Parker

Patricia Scurving Parker, 92, of Monroe, Louisiana died at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 in a Monroe care facility.


Mrs. Parker was a native of San Antonio, TX. She has lived in Monroe, Louisiana for the past 5 years. She lived most of her life in the Baton Rouge area. Mrs. Parker worked as a nurse for Dr. Abram for 25 years in Baton Rouge. Patricia and her late husband Bud retired and moved to Lake Charles in 1985. Mrs. Parker loved traveling to beaches and was an avid reader. She loved all of her family dearly.


Mrs. Parker is survived by one daughter Kerry Louise Ardoin and her husband Andy of Lake Charles, two sons Bruce Allen Parker and wife Peg of Hilltop Lake, TX, and James Thomas Parker of Baton Rouge, LA, and one daughter-in-law Anita Parker of Baton Rouge, LA, six grandchildren: Scott Parker, Paul Varnado, Corey Parker, Andrew Ardoin, Adam Parker, and Alex Parker, five great grandchildren.


Patricia is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Wallace William Parker II and one son Wallace William "Wally" Parker III and one grandson Shawn Joseph Ardoin.


Her funeral will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at 12:30 PM from the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father Bill Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM on Saturday until the time of services.
