Patricia "Pat" Ann Hayes

Patricia “Pat” Ann Hayes, 62, left this world to be with the lord on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in her residence.

Ms. Hayes was born on March 25, 1956, in Dequincy, LA, to Betty and Aubrey “Sunny” Hayes, Jr. She graduated from Dequincy High School and went on to obtain a Chemical Engineering degree at McNeese State University. For several years Ms. Hayes worked as a custodian at her church before going back to school to study High School Education. After graduating once again, Ms. Hayes went on to teach Biology and Chemistry at Kinder High School for more than ten years before retiring. She had a passion for teaching the junior and senior classes of Kinder High School and cherished all of her students.

Left to cherish Ms. Hayes’s memory is her mother, Betty Hayes of Dequincy, LA; sisters, Tracy Rutz of Moss Bluff, LA, Becky Thompson of Dequincy, LA, and Sondra Bielstein of Eunice, LA; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Ms. Hayes is preceded in death by her brother, Aubrey “Bobby” Hayes, III; as well as her father.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Moss Bluff building fund by going by the church with your donation or mailing your donation to 276 Old Hwy 171, Lake Charles, LA 70611.

A Memorial Service will be held at First Baptist Church Moss Bluff on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 11:00 AM. Family and friends are welcome to gather before the service at 10:00 AM and stay for fellowship following the 11:00 AM service until 2:00 PM. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
