Patrick Alfred Sonnier

Patrick A. Sonnier, 72, passed away at 11:20 PM on Monday, March 13, 2017.

Mr. Sonnier was born April 8, 1944 in Lake Charles, LA and was a 1962 graduate of Iowa High School. He also graduated from McNeese State University and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from CITGO, where he was employed for over thirty-five years. Mr. Sonnier was a member of the Dwelling Place. He loved the great outdoors especially bow hunting. He enjoyed helping others and loved to spend time with his family and friends.

Mr. Sonnier is survived by his sister, Elaine Savoy and husband Charles of LeBleu Settlement; niece, Salesa Ramirez and husband Tony of Everett, WA; nephew, Scott Savoy of LeBleu Settlement; great-nieces, Dannaka Ramirez and Elizabeth Ramirez; great-nephew, Chris Moses; and great-great-niece, Mackenzie Moses.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred (Pat) Sonnier and Iris Leger Sonnier.

His memorial service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 17, 2017 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor John Welch will officiate. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM and continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
