Patrick "Pat" Hogan

Patrick Brian Hogan, 65, of Lake Charles, passed away on July 3, 2023 at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of Lake Charles, Pat was born on July 10, 1957 to Lawrence and Mary Lee Hogan.  

Pat was a graduate of Barbe High School. He wore many hats over the course of his professional career - working in land surveying, the oil industry, real estate, and as a car salesman. Pat was an avid hunter and fisherman, that could blow a duck call like no other. Pat never met a stranger. He had a larger than life personality and wore his heart on his sleeve. He would give anyone the shirt off his back. 

Pat's greatest joy in life was being a father to his three children, Katie, Tyler, and Matthew Hogan. While his children were undoubtedly his entire world, his most cherished role during his lifetime was being "Pop Pop" to his grandchildren.

Those left to cherish Pat’s memory are his daughter, Katie Hogan; (Josh Qualls) Sons, Tyler Hogan and Matthew Hogan; Step-daughter, Dana DeLucca; former wife, Brenda Holbrook Hogan; his grandchildren, Madelynn, Jaxon, Jace, Dawson, Parker, Olivia, and step-grandchildren, Kaylie and Braylon; Sister, Ann Hawkins (Terry) and two nieces, Terri Ann Sindhar (Sp) and Deanie Hogan. 

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Larry Hogan (Sherry). 

Visitation for Pat will be from 2:00P.M. to 3:00P.M., Tuesday, July 11, 2023, at Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake St. Lake Charles, LA. 70605.  A Catholic Memorial Service will begin at 3:00P.M. also at the funeral home. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
