Patsy Ann LaBove, born on January 30, 1942, left this world on December 24, 2023. She is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, JD LaBove. Patsy leaves behind a legacy of love and a cherished family.
Her children, Jimmy LaBove (Sharon), Belinda Duhon (Kenneth), Wardella Pugh (Donald), and Shannon LaBove (Brooke), along with her “bonus” son Rocky Bostick, mourn the loss of a remarkable woman. Patsy’s presence will be deeply missed by her 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, with another on the way. Additionally, she is survived by four great-great-grandchildren.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Asa and Mecile Broussard, and her daughter Teri LaBove.
Throughout her life, Patsy held various jobs, from Rogers Grocery to the Cameron Motel and even a flower shop. She shared countless adventures with her husband, JD, exploring the country being his trusty GPS.
Patsy found joy in simple pleasures, including crocheting, crafting, and fishing in Toledo Bend. She was known for her culinary skills, often cooking for an army. However, her most cherished moments were spent with family, emphasizing the importance of quality time together.
Patsy’s funeral will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 30, 2023 in the Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles Chapel. Rev. Ron Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home beginning at 5:00 PM on Friday, December 29 and continuing until 9:00 PM, with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday morning at 10:00 AM and will continue until the start of the service at 1:00 PM. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.
