Patsy Nell Stagg, 82, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2024, in Lake Charles, LA. She was born on September 16, 1941, in Ville Platte, LA, to Turley and Ollie Vidrine Aguillard.
Patsy grew up in Ville Platte, where she began her education. Her family later moved to Bunkie, LA, where she graduated from high school in 1959. Afterward, she dedicated her time to supporting her husband, Bruce, as a receptionist in his CPA firm.
Her deep faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she served faithfully as the church pianist and organist at Baptist Temple in Alexandria, LA, for many years. Patsy enjoyed her quiet moments, finding solace in reading and reflection.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Mark Stagg (Lisa); her grandson, Joshua Stagg; her granddaughter, Sarah Brown (Brennon); her great-grandchildren, Hudson, Emery, and Caroline; her brother-in-law, Paul Moore of Baton Rouge; and her sister-in-law, Margaret Vidrine.
Patsy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bruce Stagg; her parents; her sister, Judy Moore; and her brother, Roderick Vidrine (Margaret).
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 22, 2024, at Open Gate Cowboy Church, 6636 Tom Hebert Rd, Lake Charles, LA. Burial will take place at 2:00 PM on Friday, August 23, 2024, in Gates of Heaven Cemetery, 6011 US-167, Ville Platte, LA, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Open Gate Cowboy Church.
