Paul was the beloved uncle and great-uncle to many. Paul was hell on wheels was strongly encouraged to join the military at the young age of 17 years old. At 19, he was sent to Vietnam as a Corpsman (medic) attached to 5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade where he spent a year saving numerous lives. When he returned, he received the Purple Heart for being wounded in combat. He spent the next 25 years pursuing a career as a Navy Diver, achieving Master Chief Master Diver. He retired from the military in 1995 and spend the next 14 years at various positions in the Commercial Diving Industry at Global Industries. He’s known for “I talk, you listen / I say, you do” mentality, but also had the biggest heart. He never asked any under his guidance to do anything he wouldn’t do, and would often put himself into harm’s way before his people. He was tough, but his grandkids made him soft. He was loved and will be missed deeply. “Fairwinds and following seas”…
