Paul Darrell Bertrand

Paul Darrell Bertrand, 68 of Grand Lake, originally from Creole, La, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Aug. 14^th, 2021 from the comfort of his home.

Mr. Bertrand was born on Nov. 23^rd, 1952. He went to South Cameron High and worked full time as a dragline and crane operator for over 40 years.  He was a very kindhearted man who loved to work and was loved by many.  

He leaves to honor his memory his loving wife of 27 years, Wanda Bertrand; one sister, Janice and (George) Morales of Lake Charles; two brothers, Butch and (Jackie) Bertrand of Creole, and Richard and (Sherry) Bertrand of Elton; three daughters, Renee and (Robert) Rogers, Teressa and (Roger) Fontenot and Nicole Bertrand Smith; one son, Charles (C.W.) Bertrand; two stepsons, Brent Norris and John Norris; two stepdaughters, Michelle Smith and Kimberly Lowery and (Nicholas Clapper); ten grandsons; eight granddaughters; and two great grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Bernice Woodrow Bertrand; brother, Bobby Bertrand and a niece, Jill Morales.

Funeral service will at 2:00 PM Monday, August 30, 2021 at Simple Traditions by Johnson Funeral Home. Reverend Brent Keating will officiate.  Visitation Monday will be from  12:00 PM until the time of service in the funeral home.
