Paul Emmanuel Hoffpauir, 95, of Lake Charles, Louisiana died on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 3:20 PM in a local care facility. Mr. Hoffpauir was born in Lafayette, Louisiana on April 2, 1919 to the parents of Jeannie and Emanuel Hoffpauir. He was a 1930 graduate of Lafayette High School. Mr. Hoffpauir served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion Post #1, V.F.W. Post #2130, Disabled American Veterans Post #17 (DAV), Knights of Columbus, Calcasieu Council #1207 as a 4th Degree Knight. He worked for DuPont Inc. as a Diesel Mechanic for over 30 years. Mr. Hoffpauir was a member of Our Lady of Good Council Catholic Church and The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Mr. Hoffpauir is survived by one son, Kermit Hoffpauir and wife Courtney of Baton Rouge, LA, one daughter, Anna Marie Crawford and husband John of Lake Charles, LA, four grandchildren, Nicholas and Joshuah Ordoyne, Eric and Cherie Hoffpauir, and multiple nieces, nephews, and loving care givers. Mr. Hoffpauir is preceded in death by two sisters, Rita Dunaway and Lucy Broussard, two brothers, John and Nicholas Hoffpauir, his parents Jeannie and Emmanuel Hoffpauir, his first wife Elmire Hoffpauir and his second wife Irene Mayer Hoffpauir. His funeral will be held on Monday, September 8, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Conception of the Immaculate Cathedral. Monsignor Jace Eskind will officiate. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery in Lafayette, LA. Visitation will begin on Sunday at 3:30 PM until 7:00 PM with a rosary to be held at 6:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Monday from 8:00 AM until 9:30 AM at Johnson Funeral Home.Visitation will continue on Tuesday at 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Walters Funeral Home in Lafayette, LA.
