Paul Leon Cathey

Paul Leon Cathey, 75, of Sulphur passed away on June 10, 2018 in his residence surrounded by his family. He enjoyed football, fishing, telling stories and being a jokester. Paul loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Paul is survived by his two children, John Brian Cathey of Lake Charles and Suzanna Lurah Cathey-Ford of Sulphur; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Cathey Ford; 5 grandchildren, Trent Cathey-Ford, Sarah Cathey-Ford, Taylor Cathey-Ford, Trevor Cathey-Ford, and Scottie Cathey-Ford; 2 siblings, Allen Cathey and Nancy Carter. He was preceded in death by his son, Scott Shannon Cathey; parents, Floyd and Robbie Cathey; and siblings, Kenneth Cathey, Joy Shelton, Clovis Cathey, Mary Jean Sherrill, and Wanda Bryce.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 15, 2018 at 2 P..M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with Pastor Tony Bourque officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 15, from 10 A.M. until time of the service with cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
