Paul Preston Boudreaux, 80, of Grand Lake, passed away peacefully at his home with his family at his side on Wednesday July 9, 2014. Paul was born and raised in Creole. He worked with Crain Brothers for many years and retired from the Louisiana Department of Transportation after 42 years of service. His loves were his family, wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He also took great pride for his cattle. He was preceded in death by his parents, Prosper and Cornelia Savoie Boudreaux; brothers, Raymie and James Walter Boudreaux, and daughter, Cheryl Theresa Boudreaux. He leaves to honor his memory, his loving wife of 60 years, Rose Mae Landry Boudreaux; daughter Ramona Saltzman and husband Jeffery, Kinder; son Eric "Zydeco" Boudreaux and wife Milissa, Grand Lake; sister, Mary LaBove, Grand Lake; grandchildren, Shannon "Shanno" Saltzman and wife Kristin, Creole; Dustin Boudreaux and fianace Tabatha Harrington and Brendon "Red" Boudreaux; all of Grand Lake; great grandchildren, Colton, Amberlee, and Aiden Saltzman and Olivia Rose Boudreaux and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. A mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 AM Friday July 11, 2014 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Creole with Father Herbert May serving as celebrant. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will continue from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery
