October 2, 1956 — August 29, 2017

Paul Stephen Theriot, of Lake Charles, passed away on Tuesday August 29, 2017 at a Houston, Texas hospital following a brief illness.

Steve, as he was known to his friends and family, was born and raised in Lake Charles. He was a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Heyd Park, New York. His passion was cooking for his family and friends. Steve worked in the culinary industry from Galveston to Houston for many years. He retired from Rice Epicurean in 2012 to care for his mother.

Upon his return to Lake Charles, Steve became a member of Immaculate Conception Cathedral Church, where he was active in the radio ministry. As a member of the Knights of Columbus he was able to revisit his culinary skills whenever called upon.

Steve gained favorite uncle status upon the birth of his first niece and retained that title for the duration of his life and this title was affirmed by his great nieces and nephews when they were born. As much as they loved him, he loved them and they will greatly miss him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Thelma Jean Silvia Theriot. He leaves to honor his memory his brothers, Douglas Theriot and wife Sandra, Timothy Theriot and wife Stacey, Patrick Theriot and wife Karen, Michael Theriot and wife Anne, and Matthew Theriot and wife Valerie; twelve nieces and nephews, thirteen great nieces and nephews.
