Paul Tillman Cloud, 64, was called home Monday, September 1, 2014 by his loving Lord and Savior. Paul was born on November 21, 1949 in Monroe, Louisiana to Leonard and Gloria Faye Scruggs Cloud. Funeral services are Friday, September 5, 2014, at 11:00 a.m., at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur with Pastor Todd Menard and Pastor Dick Menard officiating. Burial will follow in the New Hackberry Cemetery under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will begin Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 3-9 p.m. and resume Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Paul was a proud 1968 graduate of Sulphur High School. Paul also attended McNeese State University and the University of Southern Louisiana. He had a true gift of writing that he shared with many of his family and friends through Christmas cards and letters. Paul followed in his dad's footsteps becoming a building contractor and worked with his father and brother, Gary, for many years with Cloud Construction. He also worked many years for Stine Lumber with the Stine's being like a second family to him. Paul was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time in the mountains, whether it be tracking elk or skiing in Breckinridge. Paul and Gail were blessed to live in Greeley, Colorado for some time and spent many hours in Rocky Mountain National Park enjoying the beauty of God's creations. Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 13 years, Janet Gail Riggs Cloud of Lafayette; his mother, Gloria Faye Cloud of Hackberry; sons, Chaney Cloud and wife Sunny of Lake Charles and Grant Davis of Lake Charles; daughter, Lauren Davis of Lafayette; grandchildren, Alex and Adam Cloud; brother's, Gary Cloud and wife Jane of Sulphur and Kelly Cloud and wife Deborah of Hackberry; sister's, Lori Johnson and husband Aubrey of Houston, and Debra Mullins and husband Neal of Houston. He was preceded in death by his Father, Leonard Cloud.
