Paul Wayne Richard

Paul Wayne Richard, 67, of Lake Charles, LA died at 4:29 PM on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 in a local hospital.

Mr. Richard was born December 26, 1952 in Crowley, LA. He worked offshore for twenty years before moving to Lake Charles, seventeen years ago. He retired from Martin Midstream in Beaumont, TX and began his life of leisure. He enjoyed fishing, motorcycle riding, playing with his 5 grandchildren, cooking and welding.

Mr. Richard is survived by his wife of twenty-two years, Kathy Schexnaider Richard; daughters, Amy Paige Richard of Branch, LA, Hollie Beth Richard of Lake Charles and Tara Richard of Mire, LA; grandsons, Morgan Broussard, Ariah Richard, Kingsley Morgan, Scotty Touchet, Elizabeth Touchet, Maddie Leger, and one on-the-way; his bestfriend and fishing buddy, Floyd Robinson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul P. and Ruby Aucoin Richard; sister, Gertha Richard Meche; step-son, Cory Wayne Broussard; and one grandson, Chance Michael Leger.

His easy smile, quick wit and willingness to help others as well as his love of his family he will be missed by his family and friends… He will never be forgotten.

His memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, March 16^th, at Simple Traditions by Johnson Funeral Home. Reverend. Patrick Rowell will officiate. A gathering of family members and friends will be on Monday at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the start of the service.
