Paula Ann Kline

September 14, 1953 — May 17, 2018

Paula Ann Kline, 64, of Lake Charles passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018 after bravely battling an extended illness. Her fight is finished and she has found rest with her Lord and Savior.

Ms. Kline was a resident of Lake Charles. She was passionate about Mental Healthcare and worked as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for NHS and the Institute for Neuro Psychiatry. She devoted her life to helping people, especially children. Her greatest love was her family, and she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Ms. Kline will be remembered for many things, including her love for Christmas, cold weather, music, the arts, cooking, sports, and most importantly, people. Paula was full of life! She was the first person with whom one would want to share any news or updates because of her encouraging support.

She is survived by her two daughters, Kristin Nanette Groves and husband Dr. William Groves, Jr., of Lake Charles and Julie Anne Folsom and husband Leon Folsom, of Lake Charles; nine grandchildren, Will, Emily, Mary Claire, Khylee, Kasen, Alaya Ché, Camryn, Lakyn, and Dayton; her father, Paul Kline, Sr. of Big Lake, one brother, Paul Kline, Jr. and wife Yvonne and two sisters, Annette Fowler and husband Tony of Lake Charles and Donna Precht and husband Charles of Sweetlake.

She will rejoice in Heaven with those who have preceded her in death, her mother, Nanette Kline; her grandmother, Winnie Roy and her infant grandson, James Richard Groves.

She will be missed as a daughter, sister and friend. And we most certainly will miss our momma, but we rejoice knowing that although her earthly tent she once lived is no longer, she now has a building from God, a house not made with hands, but one that is eternal in the heavens!

Funeral services will be at 3:00 PM Monday, May 21, 2018 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father Seth Donald will officiate. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service in the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated.

Ms. Kline’s family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the staff of Lake Charles Memorial Specialty Unit for their excellence in care and their compassion.
