Paula Daigle

Paula Daigle, age 70, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at a local hospital.

Born January 12, 1941, to Arthur Lloyd and Dillian Duhon Broussard, she was a native of Jennings and a long time resident of Lake Charles. She was a member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church and a former volunteer there as well as Women and Children's Hospital. Mrs. Daigle loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She also had a great love for her Yorkies. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Preceding her in death were her parents, a brother, Mickey Broussard, and a sister, Wanda B. Carroll.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Daigle of Lake Charles; two sons, Jay Anthony Daigle of Akron, OH and Mike Daigle and wife, Melissa of Greensboro, NC; a daughter, Kelli Daigle Mouton and husband, Dr. Gerald Mouton of Lake Charles; and five grandchildren, James Hubbard, Brad Mouton, Maegen Higginbotham, Raegen Daigle, and Reese Daigle.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2011, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Jennings. Father Charles McMillin will officiate. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles. Visitation will be held at the funeral home beginning on Friday, March 11, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Saturday, March 12, from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. A rosary will be led by Father Danny Torres Friday evening at 6 p.m.
