Pauline Elizabeth Abrusley McLachlan, 62, entered into eternal rest with our Heavenly Father on Monday, December 28, 2015. At the time of her death, she was surrounded by her loving family.
Pauline was born on January 6, 1953 in Alexandria, LA to the late Mr. and Mrs. Jim Abrusley (Asine). She was one of seven children: Mike (Pallas), Eddie Joe (Wedad), twin brother Paul, twin sisters, Lisa Longino & Melissa Parks (Ken), & youngest brother Mark. She attended school in Oakdale and was a graduate of Oakdale High School and McNeese State University. She worked as a secretary at PPG, and the Calcasieu Parish School Board, taught aerobics at the YMCA, and had been a real estate agent for the past 25 years. Pauline was married to the love of her life, Andrew Thompson McLachlan, for 37 years. They had one son, Andrew Thompson McLachlan, Jr. (Drew). He is married to Lucille (Smith) and they have one precious, adorable, and smart 2 year old daughter, Adele, and twins on the way. Pauline’s family was the center of her world. She loved being a wife, mother, and grandmother.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Eddie Joe. She is survived by numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 30, 2015 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM and from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM on Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. The funeral mass will be at 11:00 AM at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church with Monsignor Jace Eskind officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society. The family would like to thank Hospice of St. Patrick’s, and her devoted sitters, Veronica Fontenot and Sammie Hugonin for their loving care.
