Pauline Marie Sonnier

Pauline Marie Granger Sonnier, 77, of Orange, TX, died on Friday, April 3, 2015 in a Beaumont, TX care facility. Mrs. Sonnier was born March 30, 1938 in Lake Charles, LA, where she was raised and lived until moving to Southeast, TX in 1965. She was a member of St. Helen's Catholic Church in Orangefield, TX. She enjoyed sewing and cooking, but her passion was for her family. She will always be remembered as the strong willed matriarch of her family. Mrs. Sonnier is survived by her loving husband of sixty-two years, Joseph Lee Sonnier of Orange, TX; daughters, JoAnn Armstrong and husband Timothy of LaPorte, TX and Pam McClelland and husband Larry of Vidor, TX; sons, Virgil Ray Sonnier and wife Sherry Ann of Orangefield, TX and Jeffrey Allen Sonnier and wife Tina Marie of Vidor, TX; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members. She was preceded in death by her son, James Joseph "Jimmy Boy" Sonnier; parents, Landry and Adela Granger; and sisters, Katherine Trahan and Della Mae Mallett. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Monsignor Jace Eskind will officiate. Burial will follow in Benoit Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
