Pearl Sonnier

Pearl Benoit Sonnier, 83, of Sulphur passed away on February 26, 2018 in her residence surrounded by her family. She was a member of Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Sulphur, and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Pearl enjoyed cooking, playing cards, bingo, dominos, and spending time with her family and  friends.

Pearl is survived by her 5 children, Cynthia Akins, Dennis Sonnier, and wife Liz,  Roxanne Duhon and husband Terry, Wanda Broussard and husband Brad, and Phil Sonnier; 7 grandchildren, Nick Williams, Shanda LaBove, Toby Williams, Cody Sonnier, Candace Broussard, Dalton Broussard, and Kirstin Sonnier; 15, great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, A.D. Sonnier; parents, Gabriel and Edolia Benoit; son-in-law, Glen Akins; 7 sisters; 1 brother; and 1 great grandchild.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at 1 P.M. at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in Sulphur with Father Andrew Kollannoor, M.S. officiating. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 from 4- 9 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home with a prayer service beginning at 6 P.M. and a rosary to follow. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, February 28, at 9 A.M. until time of leaving for the church.
